The Bracketron Universal GPS Nav-Mat II is a flat mat, backed with what they call a Temperbond surface that holds the mat in place on your dashboard, and on top of that mat, a standard round mounting point for your GPS system. The mat stays in place on your dashboard, even through some pretty impressive maneuvers, and keeps the GPS where it should be in easy view.

The sticky mounting disks, as anyone whos used them before has discovered much to their chagrin, are often hard to work with, especially if you want to change cars. And trying to take one of those disks off the dash can be a pain, and messy to boot.

MSI X79 Big Bang XPower II review

MSI today launches their Big Bang XPower II motherboard, we review and test it. A military themed motherboard for which they took the Intel Sandy Bridge-E chipset called X79, then they started designing a motherboard that will knock you of your feet once you place your first glimpse on it.

The board is marketed as the perfect solution for extreme overclockers and gamers. Powered by Intel’s X79 chipset, the XPower II obviously is intended for Sandy Bridge-E processors and features a 22-phase PWM design with Hybrid Digital Power for an output of up to 770 W, Military Class III components (Hi-c CAP, SFC, Solid CAP, DrMOS II), dual 8-pin CPU power connectors, and a good seven PCI-Express x16 (four being PCIe 3.0) slots enabling 4-way SLI or Quad CrossFireX GPU setups.

Google, Intel, HP, Yahoo amongst Chinese hacker targets, says report

Cyberspies from China have hit 760 companies, research institutions, ISPs and government agencies over the past decade, according to a Bloomberg article published Tuesday.

The Bloomberg story names a range of possible industrial espionage victims of China-based computer hacking, including technology companies such as Intel, HP, Yahoo and Salt Lake City-based iBahn, whose network services international travelers.

Also on the list: Xerox division Associated Computer Systems, Volkswagen, Innovative Solutions & Support, MIT, the Italian Academic and Research Network, the California State University Network and Boston Scientific.

Microsoft releases OneNote for iPad, Skydrive and Kinectimals for iOS

Microsoft took a major step into Apples iOS mobile platform yesterday with the release of Kinectimals. The game launched last year taking full advantage of the Kinect Xbox 360 interface. Primarily, the game targets children and involves interacting with virtual animals.

Appshopper rates the newly released iOS game highly: “this irresistible mobile experience gives you the chance to use your phone to visit the island of Lemuria and play with, care for and fall in love with your very own cub.
