Apple has reported yet another record set of results for its latest financial quarter, with revenue up 82% and profit growing 125% year on year.
The company posted third quarter sales of $28.57bn, up from $15.7bn in the same period last year, and net profit of $7.31bn, compared to £3.25bn in 2010.
The growth came from significant sales increases in all Apple’s key products: some 20.3 million iPhones were sold, up 142%; 9.25 million iPads, up 183%; and 3.95 million Macs, up 14%.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs was unsurprisingly ecstatic about the figures.
“We’re thrilled to deliver our best quarter ever,” he said.

Apple has posted an all time high quarter revenue and earnings in its fiscal 2011 third quarter ended 25 June 2011.
The company said that its net income was record $7.31bn in the quarter, 125% higher than a year earlier. Revenue also reached an all time quarterly high at $28.6bn, up 82%.
The strong growth rode on the surging sales of iPhone which grew 142% and iPad which grew 183%.
In the quarter, Apple sold 20.34 million iPhones and 9.25 million iPads.

While other carriers are killing their unlimited plans, T-Mobile today took the wraps off of it’s new “value” plan, which offers unlimited texts, unlimited voice and tiered 4G data at prices the company says are much less than their competitors. Part of the big news is that the plans are available to new and existing customers and can be paired with hardware payments if you choose.
T-Mobile says that the data is “unlimited,” but what they mean is “unlimited up to your data cap,” after which you’ll get hit with overage fees. Regardless, the

Lenovo has confirmed it will be releasing a trio of Android and Windows 7-powered tablets.
The tablets, known as IdeaPad Tablet K1, the ThinkPad Tablet, and the IdeaPad Tablet P1, will launch in Q4 of 2011.
Both the IdeaPad Tablet K1 and the ThinkPad Tablet will be powered by Google’s Android Honeycomb (presumably Android 3.2),and feature NVIDIA’s dual core Tegra 2 chipset.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet P1 will have Windows 7 at its core and will be aimed at more ‘professional users.’
